I surrender all.
All to Jesus I surrender,
All to Him I freely give…
I grew up hearing that hymn.
Maybe you did too.
It’s beautiful. Powerful.
But most people miss something critical… I know I did.
Surrender isn’t weakness.
It’s not giving up.
It’s giving over.
It’s saying, “I don’t have to carry this alone anymore.”
There are two kinds of surrender.
You can surrender to fear, doubt, and the weight of the world.
Let it swallow you whole.
Been there.
Or you can surrender in faith.
Surrender your will.
Surrender the outcome.
Surrender the illusion of control that’s kept you stuck.
Been there, too.
You might be three feet from gold. You might be three feet from a cesspool of unfathomable crap.
And the only way to know?
Keep digging.
But maybe you stop digging on your own strength… and start trusting something higher.
I will ever love and trust Him,
In His presence daily live…
This doesn’t mean it’s easy. Doesn’t mean you won’t wrestle with it day after day after day until you want to give up.
But for me, real surrender didn’t come from a place of weakness.
It came from realizing I’m strongest when I’m aligned, and I’m free when I let go.
Surrender isn’t quitting.
It’s knowing what to let go of…
and Who to hand it to.
Thats how today feels.
Then I heard her voice… ❤️
All to Thee, my blessed Savior…
I surrender all.
