I don’t love her to get something back.
I love her because it’s real.
Not to win her.
Not to keep her.
Not to make her feel obligated.
Just… to love her.
That’s the kind of love I believe in.
The kind that gives without a scoreboard.
The kind that doesn’t wait for a matching gesture.
The kind that says:
“I see you. And whether you ever see me the same way or not, I still choose loving you.”
Not Weak. Not Desperate.
This isn’t about chasing.
It’s not about settling.
And it’s definitely not about self-sacrifice.
It’s about freedom.
Loving without trying to control the outcome.
Caring without needing to be needed.
Completely on my own terms and boundaries.
She may never know how deeply I love her.
She may never fully understand it.
And that’s okay.
I would rather love her from afar that to arbitrarily connect my energy to any other rando in the world.
Because it’s not about what she gives back.
It’s about what I’m willing to give.
I don’t love her to get something.
I love her because it’s who I am.
I love her to honor the man Jesus has helped me become.
And I’m proud of who I am when I love that way.
