Someone asked me what my taste in music is…
And honestly? I never know how to answer that.
That’s like someone asking, “so, what do you do?”
Many things.
Musically, I might go from:
Randy Travis worship music
straight into 5FDP “War Is the Answer”
then to Luke Bryan’s “Most People Are Good”
followed by Pink’s version of “A Million Dreams”
a little “Dark Side” by Eric Church
and maybe even “Roots” or “Big Bad Wolf” by In This Moment
a little “Badass” by Saliva
“Predator” by Yonaka
“Perfect Insanity” by Disturbed
then “The Scientist” cover by Bea and Her Business
“I Will Be Heard” by Hatebreed
maybe some old school Eminem
toss in Johnny Cash & Kid Rock
before swinging right back around to something spiritual again.
So… what exactly do you call that?
Psychotic?
Unstable?
Deeply misunderstood?

A friend told me that having an eclectic playlist like that is a sign of intelligence.
So I guess I’m basically a genius with a dash of emotional chaos.
Or maybe I just like music that makes me feel something.
Whether that’s peace, power, nostalgia, heartbreak, fire, or faith.
I want to feel it ALL.
I don’t know what the label is. I just know it speaks to something real in me.
And that’s enough.
(Also, don’t test me. I will go from worship to war anthem and back without warning.)
