They Will Rule the World

I heard something recently that stuck with me:

“When you get a man who was never appreciated and taken for granted… and a woman who was abused… and they find each other, they will rule the world.”

Whew. That hit.

I’ve felt underappreciated and taken for granted more times than I can count.

Not in a victim kind of way, just… honest. Well, maybe sometimes in a victim way, I guess.

It’s a strange ache to give your all, and still feel unseen, unheard, and misunderstood.

Here’s what I’ve learned the hard way:
When you constantly give…
When you show up for everyone…
When you carry the weight without ever asking for help-

It’s easy to start devaluing yourself.

It’s subtle.
It sneaks in.

You tell yourself, “This is just who I am. I’m a giver.”

But somewhere along the way…
you start teaching people that your value is automatic.

That your time and presence don’t cost anything. That you’ll always be there, no matter what.

And the more you do it, the more it starts to feel normal to be overlooked.

To be taken for granted.
To feel like you’re not quite enough.

You cant fill someone else from an empty cup.

That’s the cycle I’ve been breaking.
Generational cycles of unworthiness.

Because I’ve done some badass stuff in my life… Things most people never get to experience.

And yeah… I give.
Yeah, I lead.
Yeah, I love hard and show up fully.

But not at the cost of my own worth.

Not anymore.

And I’ve come to realize…

Being deeply appreciated doesn’t start with finding “the right one.”

It starts with me…
Appreciating myself.
Valuing my time.
Setting my standard.

And when two people do that work separately… then meet each other on the other side of the hell they overcame…

The unappreciated and the abused?

Yeah. They’re resilient AF.

And they will rule the world.
